“prima del making of ..” di Valeria Accornero

Quello che mi piace di più nei film è il loro making-of. Quando ti fanno vedere le scene in cui gli attori hanno sbagliato la battuta, hanno incespicato nella memoria, quando il regista racconta le casualità che hanno dato vita al progetto, la difficoltà di trovare i finanziamenti, i possibili esiti di un finale rimasto aperto, le risate e i litigi e l’affanno per stare nei tempi previsti. Il ciak dell’ultima ripresa.
E poi il risultato. Zitti. Buio. Tutti in sala a guardare.

Di questa mostra il risultato lo vedete. Tra le colline, le botti e le barrique, la vigna, il vino e, sì, i gioielli. Avreste potuto seguire ognuna di queste sei parole lungo strade diverse, invece siete venuti ad incontrarle qui. E dai vostri occhi passeranno nel vostro vissuto. Ancora prenderanno altre strade nel vostro racconto e nel vostro ricordo. Ma ora mentre scrivo tutto deve ancora accadere e il making of è ancora il prima. Almeno in parte. Almeno per voi.

Le immagini dei gioielli scorrono sul mio computer in modalità di presentazione corredate dal ritrattino dell’autore e dalla didascalia. Sono arrivate, letteralmente piovute, nella mia dropbox. Vedo gli acini dell’uva, il colore del vino, pampini e grappoli. E le colline sullo sfondo, ma solo nel cuore. I gioielli vanno avanti e indietro. Posso fare anch’io la stessa cosa. Immaginare la loro vita futura, emozionati davanti a voi, il pubblico. Oppure immedesimarmi nel prima dei 50 creatori, e nelle loro riflessioni su vigna-vino-vite-terra-lavoro-fatica-allegria, per dare vita a gioielli che raccontano la realtà (o l’immagine che si ha di essa) nei minimi dettagli o che la lasciano all’intuito. Evocatori di un sapore, di un profumo. Oppure di un colore o solo di un bagliore.

Qualunque sia stata la scelta – di ispirazione, di materiale, di tecnica – davanti ai miei occhi scorrono ora 50 “ecco, ho finito”, 50 “sono pronto”, 50 risultati dopo un ciak finale. Ora sta a voi, pubblico in sala. È il momento di guardare, intuire, immaginare, inventare anche, la loro storia che li ha portati fino a qui.

What I like the most in movies is their making-of. When you see the scene where the actors forget their line, they trip over their step, when the director tells about the randomness that gave life to the project, the difficulty of fund raising, the possible outcomes of an open ending, the laughs and the quarrels and the shortness of breath to stay on schedule. The clapperboard of the last shooting.

And then the result. Silent. Dark. Everyone in the hall to watch.

You see the result of this exhibition. Among the hills, the casks and barriques, the vineyard, the wine and, yes, the jewels. You could follow each of these six words along different roads, instead you came to meet them here. And from your eyes they will be in your living. Still they take other roads in your telling and in your memory.

But now as I write everything must still happen and the making-of is still the before.At least in part. At least for you.

Pictures of jewellery are on my computer in “presentation mode” accompanied by the author’s portrait and the caption. They arrived, literally rained in my dropbox. See the berries of the grape, the color of the wine, vine leaves and grapes. And the hills in the background, but only in the heart. The jewels go back and forth. I can do the same thing. Imagine their future life, excited faced to you, the public. Or set myself in the before felt by each of the 50 creators in their reflections on the vineyard-wine-vine-earth-work-effort-joy, to create jewellery that tell the truth (or the image that you have about it) to the smallest detail, or left to intuition. Evocative of a flavor, a perfume. Or a color or just a glow.

Whatever your choice – inspiration, material, technique – before my eyes slide 50 ways to say “Here it is, I have ended up“, 50 ways to say “I’m ready“, 50 results after a clapperboard.  Now it’s up to you, the public in the Hall.
