Un gioiello, come il vino, è una miracolosa combinazione tra libertà e vincolo.

Per me il gioiello é una forma di scultura, una sua utile applicazione. Faccio uso di materiali naturali, legno, metallo, pietra, che hanno un’atavica diretta relazione con l’essere umano. Tenendo la Natura come guida, cerco di versare questa conoscenza nel mio fare, adottando le regole di semplicità e cura.

Christiana vive e lavora ad Atene.

a piece of jewellery is an amazing combination of freedom and constraint, like wine is. 

In my view, jewellery is an application of sculpture, searching for its utility. I use natural materials (wood, metal, stone) which have a perpetual and direct relation with mankind.  Having Nature with its numerous rhythms as my guide, I try to convey this knowledge into my art, simplicity and accuracy being my rule.

Christiana lives and works in Athens, Greece.

Born in Athens in 1965. Physics degree at the Physicomathematical School of Athens (1983- 1986), and also a degree in Philosophy at Paris VIII University (1986-1990). Finally a degree at University of Fine Arts of Athens within Th. Papagiannis’ s workshop (2000-2006) and jewellery courses with Akis Goumas (2008-2010). Working with municipalities and museums teaching pottery and painting, to children and adults and taking part in sculpture symposiums and group exhibitions.
She joined the sculptors team “Armatura” (2010-2015) where has been engaged in renovation of museums and restoration of Byzantine churches.
