Dalla ricerca di equilibrio, fedele al mio linguaggio, sono partita dalla scintilla del movimento.
Fermentazione: tante piccole bolle grigie, contrapposte a pennellate di giallo si pongono come uno yin yang tra sobrietà e sfacciata allegria. Al centro, una sfera di vetro trasparente, perfetta, incorruttibile, trasmette il concetto di qualità. Ho lavorato per contrappunti, accostando materiali eterogenei e concetti opposti con l’obiettivo di fonderli armoniosamente.

Searching for equilibrium is the idea for this brooch. True to my statement, I started from the spark of movement. 
Fermentation: many small grey bubbles contrasting with yellow brushstrokes stand like a yin yang message between sobriety and cheeky cheerfulness. In the center of the brooch an incorruptible glass sphere transmits the concept of quality. I worked for juxtaposition combining heterogeneous materials and opposite concepts aiming to merge them harmoniously.

Premio Torre Fornello 2012 mostra Biamonti – Iodice  

Nata in un villaggio dell’estremo Ponente Ligure, Maura Biamonti passa la sua infanzia ed adolescenza in stretto contatto con la natura. Dopo un diploma tecnico comincia un decennio di ricerca artistica: danza, teatro, fotografia. Alla fine degli anni ’80 cominciano le sperimentazioni in oreficeria. Tra il 1992 e il 2010 lavora nel suo laboratorio in Italia. Nel 2010 inizia a lavorare ad Antibes, Francia. Nell’aprile del 2011 apre un atelier a Biot, in Costa Azzurra, Francia. La sua ricerca si sviluppa intorno alla texture ed ai colori del metallo. La botanica e l’architettura sono alla base della sua ispirazione ed il suo cuore rimane legato al borgo di Ventimiglia Alta.

With her origins in a small village in Northern Italy, Maura Biamonti passed her childhood in close contact with nature. Her life then took a very clear direction toward the arts: dance, theater, photography. At the end of the 1980’s she began her research and creation of jewelry. From 1992 to 2010 she created in her Italian workshop. In 2010 she moved her work to Antibes on the French Riviera. In April 2011, she moved to nearby Biot, an artistic village, where she is today. Her experimentations in jewelry are founded in the natural textures, forms and colors of the metals she uses. Flora and architecture are the seeds of her inspiration, though her heart is still in Ventimiglia Alta, the old upper town, in front of Ligurian sea.

Biamonti won the second edition of Gioielli in Fermento in 2012 and took part to all editions, every year with new works from her colorful and lively polymeric collection.
